Deer are bred in the Rokiškis district, where many old and mature meadows, cut by many clean springs, have remained due to the not very fertile, very hilly and not very suitable land for grain crops. In such meadows, forests and groves, deer find shade in the summer, shelter in the winter, and plenty of different herbs and barks necessary for their healthy, complete nutrition. With large fenced areas, the deer grow in very similar conditions to the wild, but are closely monitored and protected.
