Beef ham with horseradish and apple sauce

  • 0.5-0.7 kg of fresh beef ham
  • 200 ml of low-fat cream
  • 1 apple (jonagold was perfect)
  • 4-5 tbsp. horseradish
  • 3-4 pieces of butter
  • 2-3 tbsp. dried thyme
  • 1 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 2-3 tbsp. coarse salt
  • a pinch of sugar.

Making:

We make incisions in several places of the ham. Sprinkle with dried thyme and rub a little. We put it in a tin lined with baking paper and bake it for about 2.5 – 3 hours. in an oven heated to 80 degrees.

While the ham is baking, prepare the sauce. We beat the cream a little. We squeeze a.š. lemon juice and dissolve a pinch of salt and sugar in it. Pour the juice into the cream, grate the apple, add the horseradish and mix. We put the sauce in the refrigerator.

We take the ham out of the oven. Sprinkle with salt, place in a tin, cover with pieces of butter and bake in an oven heated to 20-220 degrees.

Ham is also delicious to eat cold 🙂 Delicious!
